Race No. 3

When they started it was very rude, but for the end it became to a very pleasant race…

In the morning the wind blew around Bft 6. Most of the boats hasn’t undertake this challenge.  Despite of this, for the start the northerly wind lightened a little and moved between Bft 3-5 during the race.

The leeward start seemed to be good, Winkler started on the best position, but the middle of the field appeared, as they would begin to come up a bit. Finally we realized that it just appeared, as the German Winkler arrived first to the mark. The leader group arrived after him, in the following order: Auteried (AUT), Antoncic (SLO), Wossala (HUN), and Pichugin (UKR).

In the very fickle wind (both the direction, and the strength) the order at the front fleet changed a couple of times. Antoncic (SLO) could start the last downwind section on the first place, followed by Pitchugin (UKR) and Winkler (GER).

The last upwind brought a huge fight between the Ukrainian and the Slovenian boat. The Ukrainian worked off his disadvantage from centimetre to centimetre and in the finishing section he led, although his advantage wasn’t bigger as a whisker…

Winkler arrived on the 3rd place, Wossala on the 6th Gyenese on the 8th.
